1. Hocus Pocus
In this 1993 Walt Disney movie, Max,
Dani, Allison, and Binx the Cat set
out to end the reign of terror caused
by the wacky Sanderson sisters. The
300-year-old sisters are in pursuit of
any child to keep their youth and get
the spell book taken by Max, Dani,
and Alison.
2. Halloweentown
An instant classic. If you haven’t
caught this one on Disney Channel yet, then call it a year and hang
up your costume. This 1998 Disney
movie features Marnie Piper, who has
to sneak into Halloweentown to visit
her Grandmother. Marnie ends up
staying to defeat the evil demon who
has taken over.

It’s that time of year again,
for all the little kids to dress
up as their favorite superhero,
princess or animal. Halloween is
one of the most eventful days of
the year. Children scramble from
door to door so they can scream
and receive candy. Other people
may want to spend their Halloween, or Halloween weekend,
at one of Metro Detroit’s many
Halloween attractions.
Erebus is back for another
frightening, scary year. Located
in Pontiac, Erebus is the largest
haunted house in the world. It is

a “Halloween Hoot” for kids of
all ages. There’s pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, and other
fun activities anyone can participate in. Also, at the annual
Birmingham Pumpkin Patch
and Halloween Parade, you pick
your pumpkin and decorate it to
your liking. A wonderful parade
concludes the event.
